Lawrence R. Farley, 77, of Rt.2, Crawfordsville, a turnkey at the Montgomery County Jail for the last 12 years, died Saturday in Culver Hospital. He had retired from Anderson & Co. at Gary in 1962. Mr. Farley was born at Mace on Aug. 6, 1898, a son of John and Margaret Morris Farley. He was married to Hazel Miller on Feb. 6, 1922, at Crawfordsville. Surviving are the widow; four sons, William and David, both of Crown Point, Robert of Crawfordsville and Richard of Madrid, Spain; a sister, Mrs. Anna Demoret of Orlando, Fla.: 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A daughter is deceased. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Powers Funeral Home with the Rev. Lester McGruder officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
